Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 1, 2025
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Vertex Studios ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the mobile application 365. (package name: com.vertexstudios.project_365) (the "App"). By using the App you agree to the terms of this Policy.
2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Locally Stored Data (on your device)
The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us:
- Mood entries and daily reflections
- Events, birthdays, anniversaries, and goals you create
- App preferences (theme, accent color, widget settings)
- Streak and history data
2.2 Google Account Data (optional, with your consent)
If you choose to sign in with Google to enable sync or backup features, the App will access:
- Google profile name & email — used solely to display who is signed in within the App.
- Google Calendar events — read and/or write access is requested only when you enable Calendar sync, so the App can mirror events between 365. and your selected calendar.
- Google Drive (appDataFolder) — the App stores backups in a private application data folder on your Drive. This folder is not visible to other apps and is only accessible by 365. on your account.
You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account settings or by signing out within the App.
2.3 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the App displays ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:
- Your device advertising ID (resettable from Android settings)
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Standard device and ad-interaction data needed to serve and measure ads
This data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Ads Privacy Policy. You can remove ads permanently via the in-app purchase.
2.4 In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive a purchase token confirming the transaction, but we do not store or have access to your payment details.
2.5 Analytics
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs beyond what AdMob requires for ad serving and measurement.
3. How We Use Data
- To operate and maintain the App's features (year grid, moods, events, widgets)
- To provide optional Google Calendar sync and Google Drive backup, when enabled by you
- To display ads in the free version (via AdMob)
- To verify in-app purchases and unlock paid features
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. The only third parties involved are:
- Google LLC — for Google Sign-In, Calendar, Drive, AdMob, and Play Billing, governed by Google's policies.
5. Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App.
- Google Drive backups remain in your Drive's appDataFolder until you delete them, either from within the App or from your Google account.
- Google Calendar entries remain in your calendar — uninstalling 365. does not remove them.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Security
We rely on the security mechanisms provided by Android, Google Play, and Google's APIs. While no system is completely secure, we use industry-standard practices to protect any data the App handles.
8. Your Rights
You can at any time:
- Delete all local data from within the App settings
- Disconnect your Google account from the App
- Delete Drive backups from your Google account
- Reset or opt out of personalized ads via your device's Ad ID settings
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
